This course is for adults 18+ with a barrier to employment. LEG Up! to work focuses on  building the essential skills for success in the workplace.  The course includes hands on skill evaluations, resume and cover letter development, interview work shop and more!  When the course is complete, there will be a meeting to discuss the next steps to achieving your employment goals, including opportunities to work with a Job Coach/Job Developer for ongoing support.

This in person Job Readiness Course Includes:

  • 32 hours in class learning during the first 8 weeks (September 9 – November 16, 2026 (Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM)
  • Hands on skills evaluation at 2-3 different local businesses planned throughout the course
  • One to one resume work
  • Practice interviews with local businesses (approximately 2 hours)
  • Literacy Evaluation (approximately 1.5 hours)
