Connect, learn and experience Haudenosaunee culture!

Join people from KW Habilitation, Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region, Parents for Community Living and Community Living Six Nations for a day of learning, connection and new experiences at beautiful Chiefswood Park.

Date: Friday, September 11, 2026
Departure Time: 9:30 a.m. arrival at KW Habilitation, 99 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener
Returning Time: Between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.

  • Passport funding eligible
  • Transportation will be provided by KW Habilitation staff.
  • Lunch Included: Corn soup, fruit, dessert and strawberry juice will be provided.
  • Accessible washrooms are available on site.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet new people from other organizations and take part in cultural activities, including:

  • Making a traditional food item, such as scones or Indian cookies/donuts
  • Learning about lacrosse and watching a demonstration
  • Enjoying live singing and dancing performances
  • Sharing lunch and spending time together at Chiefswood Park

This event will take place rain or shine.

Who Can Attend? This activity is open to anyone supported through KW Habilitation.
